I AM BACK... after many long months of not writing I decided to come back. I'll just jump right back in with my most recent knit:

This sweater is called Wicked and I got the pattern from Zephyr Style

CLOSEUP:

So next I should probably block it a little better because the sleeves are kind of funky.. but it is super soft yarn and was a really fun pattern. I really like all their patterns and they have this great sweater with little puff sleeves that I might have to do as well.

So now I am just awaiting my order of Twinkle's Big City Knits from amazon- I have my eye on the... (more)

It's a swordfish. You can't see really well in the photo, but it has a little green eye and it's great... So what do you think?? I've been wearing it about every day since it's been done. Alrighty. this is short but I wanted to share....

Hello to all. My internet is hooked up now, although my connection is very unreliable. I'm gonna work on that. In knitting news, I have a bolero almost finished, so I'll spare the progress shot for the final picture which should come around this weekend. I am working full time now, as I should be, but this means for me of course less knitting and internet time.... which sucks.

I recently went on a trip to Colorado with my boyfriend and his family giving me lots of time to work on my bolero. We visited his house in Minnesota in addition to spending a beautiful weekend outside of... (more)

So. I've been lacking in progress on my fancy shmancy bolero, but my boyfriend's sister is in town visiting and our days have been packed with activity. we went on a long bike ride today in the hot humidity that is Madison right now, followed by frisbee and a cook out with my friends...

Anyways, we are on our way to play some poker and pool after our wonderful Vietnamese dinner. I have to make a real update soon- and I have a tag to answer to! Be back soon.

Yarn!

I just got my yarn order from CucumberpatchUK on Ebay. Great deals I tell you. I'm going to make a hat with the white yarn, and maybe another hat with the beige (they are cashmerino aran and cotton angora respectively). And the big pack of 10 is cotton cashmere- which I ordered to make a very nice bolero.

Here's the bolero- it's a pattern from the spring Vogue Knitting

I am making progress. I've had a very relaxing two days to sit around and knit, but I work a lot next week so I should get as much done as possible now... So off I go

I have something to show! yayayaya!

The other day when I was itching for something to do, I went to Stefanie's website and bought her latest creation, the One Skein Wonder...

It's a great, easy pattern that used up the remaining yarn I had from Lelah (which is still missing a ribbon...). It used a little over one skein of Rowan All Seasons Cotton, in Slick. I did the size for 14 inches across the back, and I love it. Here it is:

I wore it out the other night and got a few funny-what-is-that-thing-you're-wearing looks. But they'll be ok. ... (more)

OH MY GOD IT'S BEEN SO LONG

So I haven't updated in forever.... I'm sorry. I kept thinking that I would go get a ribbon for both lelah and ultra femme soon, but I never got around to it. I just finished lelah- so here's both of the new FO's!

EDIT: I used Bernat acrylic yarn with Katia Soft (mohair blend) for Ultra Femme. And for Lelah I used Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Slick (great ebay buy!)
Yeah, you can see my bra a little in this one... I really wanted to take a picture outside cause my camera's flash is funny, but I can do that this weekend. What color ribbons should I get??... (more)

On the way

Today, I am very close to finishing Ultra Femme. I have just a few inches left on the top!! I got a nice cream ribbon to finish it off as well...

About the Lelah yarn, I chose Slick... It was a hard choice, but I realized that Winnie had a point, and I will wear it a lot if it's black (or blackish). I can't wait to start it, but before I do that, I'm going to make adjustments to Lucky... I saw Diana from the knitalong wrap the tie around the back, and connect to the other front piece through an opening in the side seam- and it looks great. I decided that I just have to make that adjustment... (more)

Decisions Decisions

I'm choosing a different yarn for Lelah than the recycled yarn because I want something darker, or with more color. So I have a hard time making up my mind- but there's a great sale of Rowan All Seasons Cotton on ebay, and here are my choices:

"Copper"

"Slick" (charcoal)

"Gay"

Hm... So any suggestions??
